    Despite there being no heat plate, my coffee stays hot for hours because of the stainless steel carafe. Easy to keep clean, it has an auto clean function that just needs water and vinegar. You can set it to brew later, which is a necessity for me! Would definitely recommend

    Por el precio de la cafetera es más que excelente la compra. Calidad de materiales (plásticos) ya no es como antes. Los plásticos se notan baratos y se raya facilmente. Después de un par de meses de uso casi diario la tapa se ve un poco doblada por el calor pero aun así funciona sin problemas. El café lo prepara muy bien y la jarra conserva el calor el tiempo suficiente y de sobra para disfrutar durante tu desayuno de un buen café.

    Me gustó, me gustaron los materiales, anteriormente había comprado una marca Oster y los materiales nada aque ver con esta cafetera.

    As the review headline suggests, the features on this coffee maker are pretty basic. It makes coffee, makes stronger coffee, and has a timer. Admittedly, I don’t notice much difference between regular coffee and the same coffee made using the “STRONG” button. However, it makes really good coffee. The steel thermal carafe is so much better than a glass one. There is no heating element under the pot, so the coffee never burns. But the insulation in the pot means I can come back hours later and still get a hot coffee. I tend to nurse the coffee all day, and I very rarely have to heat even the last cup I take. Finally, there is the cleaning. I had another coffee maker with a thermal pot, and the opening was so small I couldn’t get inside it to clean it. This one has a very wide opening at the top, and I can get my chunky hands inside to scrub it with no trouble. My one issue with this (and pretty much EVERY coffee maker with a timer) is that we have occasional blackouts, and the clock has no battery backup. So the timer is really great, but any time there is a blackout, you don’t get your morning coffee, and you have to reset the clock and reprogram the timer. I did not take away a star, however, because all my cooking appliances with clocks are the same. Computers have had battery backup on their clocks since the 1980s, so why haven’t appliance makers caught up with that idea?

    I love the vintage reminiscent design. This coffee pot for the price point does a wonderful job. The coffee tastes good thr carafe keeps the coffee warm for at least 12 hours hot for about 4. I don’t have to worry about breaking the pot. The carafe is wide mouth and easy to clean. The reusable filter is a nice addition. I don’t need to buy any filters. I don’t usually make a full pot and I’ve gotten my ratio right. The only change I’d make is to backlight the clock to make it easier to see when I’ve turned on the brew later feature. Otherwise I would buy this again.

    Está muy bonita la cafetera, el sabor es bueno, la preparación es rápida, tiene la función de programar el colado, la jarra mantiene el calor pero al no contar con plancha de calor no se mantiene por tanto tiempo como en las cafeteras de jarra de cristal que si cuentan con ese dispositivo.

    The design is well thought out. The coffee is hotter than any of my previous B&D or Mr. Coffee coffeemakers. It stays hot without continual heating (which causes the burnt taste). Maybe it only stays hot for less than the 2 hours that they claim – but the coffee can then be microwaved to be hot without the burnt taste. (They suggest that if you make less than 8 cups you should pre-heat the carafe to help it stay hot for longer.) The coffee maker has its water gauge on the front so that it is easy to read. There is also a wider opening to pour water in from the front – so there is no more need to turn the coffeemaker to fill it or to read the water level. The hot water is distributed over the grounds – for a fuller taste. Like my previous B&D coffeemaker, it lets you know when it is time to descale/clean the device with vinegar and water. There is nothing fancy about this unit. No snob appeal. It just does a very good job – especially at this price point.

    The carafe is nice and big, and keeps coffee hot even with the burner turned off. The reuseable filter basket works great, keeps even fine grounds out of the coffee. The filter does seem somewhat flexible and fragile, so I’m not going to pile it in the drying rack with the pots and pans. Still full marks though, much better value than a lot of other makers I looked at.

    Pro:
    *Very simple to set up
    *Uses an easy to find standard basket filter
    *Stainless steel pot keeps coffee hot (although not forever hot) and prevents a burned taste
    *Can brew between 2 and 12 cups
    *Coffee flavor is good- I am not a coffee connoisseur and I’m not a super strong coffee fan. This allows you to pick a “strong” brew or not. Seems to work well
    *Pot does not drip when pouring.

    Con of Sorts:
    *There is no way to select volume brewed except by how much water is in the reservoir. If you put in coffee for 8 cups but there is 12 cups of water in the reservoir, it will brew 12 cups of weak coffee. It isn’t a huge deal, as using fresh water makes better coffee, but it isn’t what I was accustomed to.
    *Coffee maker is fairly tall. I need to pull it out from under the cabinet to fill the water reservoir. I have it on a microfiber mat so easy enough to pull forward.

    My previous coffee maker – a Keurig Duo gave up. The smallest amount of brewed coffee I could make in it was 8 cups, which is more than I often drink. This is a nice alternative that takes up less counter space.

    We recently received our new coffee maker and I wanted to use it a couple weeks before reviewing it.
    We couldn’t be more pleased! The coffee brews in a reasonable length of time but not so quickly that the flavor of the coffee is affected adversely. The hot water sits in the basket a sufficient period of time to saturate the grounds resulting in a smooth, full-bodied brew that is not bitter. The coffee is perfect every time.
    The coffee maker lacks a built-in warmer but comes with an insulated metal carafe which keeps our coffee warm for hours.
    The carafe also has a secure, removable lid with a button you push to pour your coffee. The release also serves to keep heat within the carafe keeping the coffee warm longer.
    We are well pleased and happy with our purchase!

    Arrived before it was due. I love this coffee maker! The insulated carafe keeps the coffee piping hot for a couple of hours but hot enough to still be great hot coffee for more than a few hours.

    My husband and I are disabled and we have a coffee station upstairs where the big screen tv is in our bedroom. We make the coffee bring the insulated carafe to our bedroom, get cozy and have coffee with treats, a movie and more coffee! Makes great tasting coffee. I LOVE the wide mouth pour and it never drips down the side when pouring! The outside stays cool to the touch. It has a lot of plastic parts but it all seems sturdy. I paid 45 dollars and it was worth every cent
